I just want to encourage you to continue to speak the truth in love. Jesus stated that when he came back would he find any faith in the world? Just look around at the apostasy that's rampant everywhere.
We are commanded to care for each other, the widows and orphans, the poor and needy. The church gave that responsibility up to the government. Now we see the marginalizing of Christianity and someday brother, not too far into the future, I believe that those of us who truly love the Lord and not into the give to get movement, will be persecuted for our faith.
These false preachers use passages from Malachi to substantiate what they're trying to get across, but we are living stones and the new temple is our hearts and minds. I have no problem with giving but what we see is a major business that preaches give to get and yet the Gospel isn't preached. It's motivational preaching with Jesus tossed in here and there to give it a christian flavor.

Hello,
I heard your interview on the Edge Radio Station and thought I'd check out info on tithing.
Eight months ago I was liberated from the Catholic church system. I was very wary of having to confess everything, comtemplative prayer, Mary as co-redemptrix and the granddaddy of them all-tithing. You might say that tithing was the icing on the proverbial cake for me.
My last mass that I attended the priest was laughing as he exhorted people to give one more offering to the Lord. Which "lord" he was talking about I'll never know! I got so angry I left after the fourth offering! Yes four offerings and the old guy still wasn't through talking about what he was "wanting" for God's house! So I left angry and crying in the van as I drove away.
I vowed to God that I wouldn't step foot in a Catholic church again or any other church that didn't preach the Word of God. My visits to other churches resulted in more disappointment. The female ministers was just as full of themselves as the men!
