25 years ago Linda and I took a giant "leap of faith" and jumped into marriage after a very short courtship (but a LOT of prayer and fasting in regard to marriage). The above pic was taken by our daughter at one of the places we visited on our honeymoon 25 years ago, Bodega Bay, which is an hour or so north of San Francisco, and relatively un-tourist.
We were on a road trip to Northern California with our daughter to visit a couple of schools and decided to make a side trip. Back then, this was the only place to stay in the little fishing village and it was pretty rustic. They have since remodeled and quadrupled their prices, and Bodega Bay now sports a couple of marinas and a fleet of boats both pleasure and fishing.

This brings up lots of great memories and also the reality of time passing. How much has changed in 25 years! -not just little Bodega Bay, but us too, and the people and places we have known. My parents were alive and well, many friends and family members were also. Our house was different, our church was different, our hometown was WAY different, our work was different, no children, the list goes on and on.
One of the biggest changes took place 5 years ago when we left church and took a walk into the unknown of the spiritual wilderness outside the camp of what is called Christianity. It was there we reconnected to the Lord and returned to the Scriptures from which we had greatly strayed as we followed our various leaders through the motions of church programs and services.
This turned out to be the greatest blessing in our Christian walk. It is called "overcoming" the "Nicolaitane error" which Jesus said He hated, but no one knew what the Nicolaitane error was. When you overcome that, THEN the Lord is able to be your teacher and guide through the scriptures and the Bible really comes alive. We also had to learn to trust God for fellowship and He does assemble us with others, but he does it in a form that is different from traditional church. (Traditional church assembles in a form NOT found in scripture.
(In your Bible, can you find a "church service" with 3 songs, announcements, a pulpit, a "special" followed by a 45 minute sermon, and a closing prayer or song like we all have attended?)
This brings us to the edge of the cliff we now find ourselves. At this juncture we have pretty much forsaken the business world in which we have labored for over 30 years as an entrepreneur. More and more of our time is involved with ministry work, writing, phone calls, prayer for the afflicted and casting out demons, plus our own daily study of the scriptures and prayer.
Our secular work is bare minimum, we still work one or two times a month, and The Cliff is where we stop doing that secular work all together and simply depend on the Lord to provide for us. WHEW!!! It means working for HIM and I take that responsibility very seriously.
We have no "church" to look to for "support", salary or tithes (lol), no retirement, but we have FAITH in God.
Once again we are about to take a plunge.

We are thankful for those of you who write and email, it lets us know our labors are bearing fruit. Thank you for permitting us to speak openly about our lives and faith, and thank you for praying. In the months ahead we will update on our steps as we close our small business and report on our progress.
May each of us together walk in truth, faith, holiness, and love; that is our prayer for both you and ourselves. Here' lookin' at you........................
